Hey flopsy (and others) oos applicants had a 6 percent HIGHER admit rate than in state applicants did. You tell every single oos person that they are a slight reach or reach because of oos, when they really are valued by the school because they want more oosers attending. Just because one is oos doesn’t mean he/she are a reach, one would have a just as good, if not better shot than in staters, just look at last year’s admit rates for proof.

You didn’t get a 2400 in Dec?

there are things such as ELC…

I canceled, and I don’t know of anyone who got 2400 in December. But on another note, does anyone think I am a match for UCLA? I’m looking for a few match schools but I’m not sure if I can consider UCLA a match.

jkaufman:

Yes, admission rates are higher for out of staters. But, you have to factor in the number of people that apply out of state. It is a significantly lower number than California residents. Also, the average out of stater’s resume is much better than the average Californian’s resume that applied. So, it is tougher for out of staters to get accepted.

I know it’s already passed applications, but I guess I want to know what people think…I’m sort of hoping for a definite answer because UCLA is my #1 choice! My grades are good, but my test scores are…okay
