chance me, please! :)

mistofolis- aw you seem like a really nice person as well! i really hope all us CCers find our ways into Yale so we can meet and form a freaking CC club lmao. that’d be hilarious. wow international? where are you from?

If you can learn things from an autistic toddler, I am sure that you’ll max out the learning opportunities at Yale! Dont Worry!

LOL thanks uanow! haha you bring up a hilarious/good point. hope the adcoms notice haha.

I think we should stop fretting about scores. Two people got into Yale from my school this year. One had a score in 2000s while other in low 2100s. Two other I know had an SAT I score of a little over 2200. One of them even had some Cs (according to indirect sources).

They all had one thing in commo, though: they were passionate.

i guess we all get wound up because we hear of CCers who got 2400s in their sleep, won Intel 10 times since birth, and have 1000 hours of community service.

last year a friend from a diff hs in my district got into yale with a 1900 SAT score, a 2 in AP span test, a 600 range lit SAT II score, and everything else was average. she didn’t apply SCEA but nevertheless was admitted.

we can’t all be like her though :/

I think we should just trust the admissions process. The AOs are the best at what they do.

preedees - im asian… i don’t reveal more than that on CC sorry. privacy reasons and etc. no, eng is DEFINITELY not my first language… i had a haard time learning English, trust me.

GARR so nervous. Im pretty sure i’ll be deferred though. It would be a shock otherwise.

cassie - haha yeah, CC club? It would be pretty cool. this online business is getting too shady sometimes. I should be really studying for my series and diff. equation test tomorrow though before I go to any uni… arg… what is your intended major? just curious…

mistofolis- i’m tentatively majoring in biology at all the schools i’m applying to. you?

cassielam09 - what was his/her hook? there has to be something…

i suppose the fact that she was low income (my friend who got in with average stats) but then again, many applicants are low income. she was chinese, parents immigrated from china, her essay was about her struggle to learn english in elementary/preschool. i dont recall her winning any major awards so she wasn’t amazing in that aspect. i’m not sure why she got in, but if yale admitted her, she obviously belongs there.
