<p>You have a decent shot at NYU; definitely talk about the speech classes and your unfortunate family atmosphere (I’m sorry if I’m being insensitive…).
Georgetown is pretty much a reach - though biomedical engineering may not be as hard to get into as poli sci in that school…
Emory is a low reach I think.
Georgia Tech is a high match according to me
I don’t really know about your other schools…
Overall I think you fall into a comfortable middle 50% in most schools
