Chance Me UGA RD

I would call it a low reach.

i think it will be a high match/low reach. low gpa but rigorous coursework and that is very important to UGA. ACT score is within the range. first glance i noticed you have a fantastic extra curricular record and i think that really tells them how active you will be in their community, and at a big university that is what they would want to see in applicants (you won’t be lost in a crowd)

I think you have decent chances good luck and happy new year

Based on Collegeboard, only 2% of incoming freshmen to UGA has GPA’s of 3.0-3.25. Your test scores land you a little bit better than average at best. Your chances are lower than you think.

Same here. I do think your grades are a bit low, but those EC’s look wonderful… Good luck with UGA!

Oh man, this is kinda tough. Your ECs are pretty good, but your raw scores are a little low. I’m sure you’ve looked at this but just in case, here’s the freshman profile.

https://www.admissions.uga.edu/article/first-year-class-profile.html

You’re 25th percentile for standardized test scores and not even that on GPA. I’d be a little scared.

rigourous courseload but way below average GPA (average was 3.83 for Fall 2012 admits, 3.03 is in the bottom 3 percentile). ACT score is also below average (avg=28, you’re just in the middle 50 percentile). the most important factors in UGA admissions are GPA, rigor of curriculum, and test scores, in that order. GPA and rigor weigh 3:2 to standardized tests in predicting academic success at UGA, so your GPA was really detrimental to your chances.

not familiar with how UGA looks at ECs so I can’t say if they’re good or not (for most schools, passion and leadership are most important; for others, mere community involvement is sufficient).

I’d say low reach/high match simply because of GPA/test scores. ps: stop chancing people if all you’re gonna say is “good chance for all”…

I agree with most, High Match. Your GPA is very low, and even though you took rigorous, it’s still low, but that is me and i have higher standards than most. However, everything else looks good.

Good Luck!

Nice EC’s! They should help a lot

I’d say high match to low reach because of your lowish GPA. Apply to more schools! Good luck!

High match. Your sat scores are kind of low though. And so is your GPA, but if you write good essays and present yourself well, you can get in!

If your GPA is practically a 3.0 and your SAT is only 1800, why’d you take so many APs? I’d say UGA is a match for you, though.

Chance back?
