Since you aren’t trying to get in the engineering school or COSAM, that’s in your favor. But, your math and reading scores are actually below the median (was hoping that your weakest was writing) Since you are OOS, your scores need to go up. The following link is very helpful to prospective students – it’s to the AU office of institutional research common data set – the CDS is always a great resource for understanding what a university is looking for in their students.:

This particular link will take you directly to SAT score stats. Links to other stats are in the left-hand nav. Having an idea of these numbers gives you more information for setting your own personal goals.

The architecture and design programs are good at AU and pretty competitive, so you either need to retake the SAT, or work very hard in preparation for your ACT. You may find you are more of an ACT test taker anyway. I know my D found this test to be her strongest (though she said the math section was very long.) While AU uses either standardized tests for admission, I think they are more ACT-centric, if you know what I mean.

It sounds like you have a pretty rigorous schedule – that’s good, and you have strong grades. You can apply early admission if you want, but early selection is based solely on academic criteria (per the AU admissions website). They take a more holistic approach to your application for regular admission. If you’re concerned about needing more time in order to send your best standardized score(s), then consider waiting until regular admission. You can also keep sending scores until the final date.
