I played lacrosse, but didn’t put report that to my schools since it was only for one season. I have one leadership position, which is National Beta Club Secretary. Most of my ECs are volunteer organizations/programs, hence the 300+ hours. No jobs, etc. My recs should be great-- one from my English teacher who notoriously writes good recommendations and one from my math teacher who I’ve known for 4 years. My personal statement was nothing special, although I think my supplement was fine. My school is arguably the most competitive in my county and we send around 5 students to Emory every year (the main campus is less than 10 miles from my high school).
My ACT score is, unfortunately, in the 25th percentile based on the admitted 2020 students. For Oxford campus, it’s in the 50% range.
Overall, I’m aware that my application is pretty mediocre, so I’m not expecting much. My ED II school’s acceptance rate is a bit higher and I’ve shown a lot of interest, but I guess I’ll have to wait and see what happens.
