@ljberkow : For admits, that 31 is maybe slightly below the median of admits (in fact, last year it was the bottom quartile mark), and is at the average (which is below the median at Emory I think) for matriculates, so it is pretty strong but not above average as the 31 corresponds to 1360-1390 and Emory’s average SAT is like 1360-1380 for matriculates depending on the year (stats have pretty much hovered between 1360-1370 lately though). Emory usually admits at more like 1420 something (meaning they hoped for higher scores, but this is the case at most schools, elite or not).
