You have similar - if not better stats than me, and I got accepted.

Good luck. :)

Juniorita, you’re probably asking why people with worse stats than you got in, as are a lot of people who weren’t accepted…

One thing most people forget to take into account, though, is that adcoms look at your achievement in the context of your school, and especially in the context of who they have admitted in the past from your school. So if you and someone else have the exact same stats, and someone else got in, it could be because their GPA or their courseload is more impressive given the school they are at.

Well…i don’t know if this really helps but I got in with…

2.8 GPA
1990 SAT

i don’t think that’s possible.

3.0 ucgpa is the minimum i believe.

perhaps you calculated your gpa wrong?

enelrahc, that’s an unweighted GPA, right?

The UC GPA 3.0 minimum doesn’t seem to stop admissions from accepting some people. My friend was woefully UC ineligible yet was still granted admission to UCR.

I’m pretty sure it’s a weighted 2.8

enelrahc i’m sorry but i have a hard time believing you
are you like a quadriplegic or something?
a music major maybe?

Search up my posts…I posted my grades in one of the threads. I never really calculated my GPA, so I’m not sure. I’m majoring in mechanical engineering.

Wow vietsta, that was just wrong bumping this thread. She already didn’t get admitted to the school, why make it worse by making this topic on the top of the forum? Someone should close this, and other people stop posting in it to let it sink back down. It’s just low to treat someone’s college aspirations like this. I’m sure we can all continue our discussion in a new thread.
