Chance my daughter: 98.5 UW, 1560 SAT, 2/740 ranked, NY, for BME

I don’t think anyone is suggesting a kids should be punished for skipping a grade. She’s an outstanding student and competitive for admission anywhere. The schools on your list all have very very low admission rates…most in the single digits. Her chance of admission at any of the schools may be higher than their overall very low admit rates, but at highly rejective schools they are likely still a reach. If you have Naviance admission data from your school you may get a better sense of your specific situation.

I don’t personally think having skipped a grade will hurt and nobody really knows. I wouldn’t worry about it - what can you do? You’ll never know the reason she does or doesn’t get in to a particular school.

I definitely think she’s competitive anywhere and I’m sure she will end up with great options - best of luck!
