Chance my daughter: 98.5 UW, 1560 SAT, 2/740 ranked, NY, for BME

I don’t think anyone was negative.

I think it was admitted that people don’t truly know the impact of skipping a grade so if you really want to know, ask an admissions counselor. That’s for your peace of mind.

And that since you have safeties that you’d be happy to attend, the list works because there’s a fail safe.

If the student were a four year student, the list would still be reachy with Purdue the best odds and normally a match. But they vastly over enrolled last year - does that mean they’ll tighten up on admissions this year ? Another unknown.

Legacy at UND will help but UND isn’t really known for engineering. I’m sure it’s great but….and it’s still a tough school. Being female and engineering may help too.

Any school is possible with these stats but no one is an admission officer here and statistically these are all tough with Purdue the best odds on the initial list. Somewhere later you mentioned Wisconsin - it’s a likely but not a safety. But the SUNYs safe.

In the end, given the degree, the where is likely to matter less outcome wise so she’ll be fine.

Good luck.
