<p>I don’t know if you are familiar with the Common Data Set. It is a standard report that colleges fill out every year with a lot of very interesting and pertinent information.</p>
<p>Page 10 o 35 shows the 25th and 75 prcentile for the SATs for students who enrolled last Fall. You can see where your S falls in here.</p>
<p>Page 21 and 22 show what scholarships were given out (an average of $19,474 for the 680 students who were awarded need based scholarships and $13,717 for 206 students who had no financial need).</p>

<p>Also, consider applying Early Action - Round 1. If your S has his application complete by November 10, he would hear back by mid-December and the EA applicants last year had a 67% acceptance rate (signficantly higher than the overall acceptance rate of 57%):</p>

<p>Also, demonstrating interest - visiting the school, having an interview, making clear in his essay why he wants to attend WPI, maybe contacting the Admissions Counselor for his region with a question and mentioning his high level of interest in WPI- might help.</p>
