<p>GPA: Freshman year 3.6 Sophomore year (looking to finish with) 3.7
SAT: Havent taken the actual test but practice test from last summer I got a 1990. Recently took math and reading section practice test and got 730 and 700 respectively. I go to an academically rigorous school as well. </p>
<p>ACADEMIC INTERESTS: History, Latin, economics/business, Law. </p>
<p>POTENTIAL MAJORS: Social Sciences or International Affairs (I want to end up going to either Law or Business school)</p>
<p>EC’s: Football (2 years JV captain and 1 varsity letter), Basketball (Freshman team and JV), Saxophone and String Bass (I love playing instruments and have done so every year since 4th grade). Tutoring and Volunteer QB coach at summer football camp (I love doing community service), Student government (been elected every year and I just finished a big project–first of its kind to be done by student–that got a huge amount of funding and is going to happen). I also was selected (by assistant head of school) to be a part of the first leadership team that took a leadership course by NOLS and worked to implement a project that would help change the school culture in a positive way (it has been a good success so far). </p>
<p>ETHNICITY: African. I was born in Africa and came here when I was young.</p>
<p>OTHER: Single parent family. First generation in my family to go to college (both parents, grand parents, great-grand parents, etc. didnt go to college). I have a lot of leadership roles and I am recognized as a leader by administrators, teachers, staff and students. All of my teachers have always said that they love having me in their class and so I can get some great recommendations from them and also from both assistant head of schools and possibly even the head of school. </p>
<p>Also, college location is not a big factor for me, I just want to go to a great school. </p>
