Chance Please :)

You should probably try to increase your SAT score to at least 2300 if you really want to go to Stanford/MIT. And try to get another leadership position. By the way it’s Berkeley, not Berkley. You seem to have a good chance at most of those schools, besides UPenn, Stanford, and MIT. You’re going to need a really good essay for those to make you stand out (everyone does).

In your ECs I would maybe like to see a little more initiative and/or dedication, as most every top 10%'er can claim a majority of the same awards and ECs as you. That said, your GPA is nice and your SATs are pretty good too. To my (untrained) eye, your credentials come off as highly qualified but neither unique nor demonstrating intense dedication to anything other than school. With all (brutal) honesty, it appears to me that you have simply done what anybody as smart as you have shown yourself to be could and would do, rather than standing out from the crowd with (for example) prominent leadership positions. Also, you ought to list your volunteer hours =p

None of this comes close to disqualifying you from anything on the list, and indeed you have a pretty decent shot, but you better have some excellent essays. Here’s my take on your chances:

Stanford: reach (for everyone)
U Penn: low reach (you really wanna pull up your SATs)
MIT: reach (for everyone)
UCB: match
Northwestern: match
UCLA: low match
Northeastern: safety
UW: safety

Standford, Berkeley, MIT: reach
UCLA: high reach
others: matches or saftey

I’d say in everywhere but MIT, Wharton, and Stanford which are basically reaches for anyone. Good luck with your essays!

If you focus on getting more leadership positions in your ECs (ie VP or President of a club) that should definitely boost your chances. Other than that, your stats look great; you should focus on emphasizing one or two of your ECs that you are most passionate about on your application (ie through one of the short essays) to make you stand out.
