oh thank god, they allow a Canadian address in the online app, and I messaged them in case. Well whatever I guess, we will hopefully be good architects in the future and steer the Canadian reputation in architecture in a positive direction. Good Luck to you too which canadian universities did you apply to? I applied to Waterloo (but have interview), Ryerson (got accepted, they pulled me out of the evaluation to talk to me, yay, lol), U of T (donāt wanna go there :P), and Carleton (I wanna go there badly, they are an amazing faculty, Iāve been to the school twice for the portfolio review and a research proposal presentation, and they are amazing, they just started an AA Visiting School program and they have been doing one with Ecole Superieur DāArchitecture a Paris)

yeah, and this whole thing about scholarships, I donāt know why AA or Bartlett doesnāt give out big scholarships, I got one from both, but it canāt cover the 200 000 plus loan I rather buy my own place in Toronto with that much dough :P

I paid the fees for waterloo and carleton, but didnāt end up submitted anything since I can afford a few schools in the US. I didnāt know Carleton has an AA visiting program! Wow that sounds niceeee.

Haha well I know that US schools tend to give way higher scholarship to instate students, which I understand but despise nonetheless. ):
Did you get accepted int AA already? Wow when? Do you have to do an interview?
Itās the only school I havenāt heard from yet, but I applied as late. ): Do you know anything about that?

I got into AA without the interview apparently. I just did a skype call. I think they really like my resume they love big names and over the top artsy things youāve done. If you applied as late, you wonāt get a scholarship, you have to hand the portfolio in before Jan 18 for the scholarship consideration, but oh well the one they gave to me was the highest, and I still canāt afford it, its like I think like 2/3s of the tuition.
Thats awesome that you are going to the states, I am happy for you I have a friend and sheās going to Northeastern in Boston.

Thanks.
Wow congrats. Did you apply for foundations for first year? And when was this?

first year I think I am out of that foundations phase
lol lets see what cooper thinks ahahaha, I am happily awaiting the embrace of the rejection.

I got my replies and it all concluded by end of February, they were quite fast with me. I guess the admissions officer got tired of me, lol I started calling them about apps in like Grade 10, *** was I thinking, plus I canāt even go, I just wasted their time ahahaha

do you think for Arch, their will be mails too?

For sure, itās the same for all schools in cooper. From what I gather from pplās replies, everyone will get an email on the day they send the mail. However, there seems to be some system failure (lol not surprising) and some pplās emails arenāt received.

Damn AA. Well thereās always masters. You can goto AA then, plus masters offer more scholarship and are only two years. :3
You know what I hope though, that we both get in! We can be Canadian buddies at cooper. Wishful thinking-

what, I donāt get it, they sent an e-mail too, I thought they mail it to accepted and e-mail to rejected, lol I am so stuck/nervous, everything is super confusing. So were art and architecture e-mails also sent out today, cause I have a friend who got into art and got a package just yesterday

that would be cool tbh! Canadians!

Nope on fb page they said they email everyone, and on the other thread a person that got accepted also got an email.
What are you sure? Because they said theyād post it on the page when art and archi are sent out and they havenāt yetā¦

Hehe ya.

hmm, I guess we can just wait and see eh! regardless of where I go, I am excited for architecture school, itāll be amazing! I think Iāve enough practice for it, my record for staying up for the portfolios was like 3 days in a row ahahaha

Damn, thatās actually the one thing Iām terrified of.
I physically canāt stay up for days in a rowā¦

lol, its gonna be a party in the studio, lolololololol, but Iāll miss my own studio if I leave the city itāll be great, I am sure youāll be fine! I think studios are awesome, cause from experience, like everybody is there, and you all complain together about life, and your angsty self, its hilarious, smuggling baileyās and alcohol occurs too, which is a plus

haha itāll probably be similar in any school, studying architecture and all. just stay up late and party. :)

where are you thinking of going in US next year?

Probably Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, itās consistently ranked pretty top for architecture plus itās a state school and tuition+living is only $35,000/year. Or Pratt since I got a pretty good scholarship offer.
Although Iād rather not for bothā¦I really want to goto cooper.

those are really nice choices! Congrats! I want to get that mail tooā¦ahaha, but if I get rejected, itād be okay with me, everything happens for a reason I guess. What did you do for your hometest, did you go with a theme or what? Mine was about layering things, and I took a conceptual route, my favourite question was question 6, the one about the apartment, loved it, I read the book after the test was done, fantastic

Was that question 3? I chose that one too!!! Haha, but I forgot the include the sheet that indicated my choice, and Iām really worried about that.
Guess I found myself a new summer reading list. :)

My favourite was the eclipse. My theme if you can call it that is transparency which links every pieces to the eclipse. CANāT WAIT FOR TMR.

ahahaha nice, what a coincidence! the apartment was fun definitely, uhh I donāt like my eclipse one I did something with doors and windows and **** and talked about function and architectural theory. god knows what they think, lol
