@Motokid123: ME is impacted at all of the CSU campuses that he applied meaning that there are more qualified applicants than spots. My niece was local to CPP and applied last year for Biotechnology that is also impacted and was waitlisted and then rejected. Being local helps since you are given priority but you still have to meet minimum CPP requirements for an impacted major so there are no guarantees. There are some CSU’s still accepting applications, so he might want add these to his list (Bakersfield, Fresno, Dominguez Hills, Monterey Bay, Humboldt and LA)

When selecting schools to apply, it is always important to check each school’s website for required course work/test scores etc… along with checking the Common Dataset to see where the applicants stats fall to gauge their chances.
A local community college could be his backup, so I would try and add these Cal States to the list if possible.
CPP does consider alternate majors, so did he list one?
