<p>Your years in theatre show a high level of commitment and interest, which Chicago likes to see in applicants. I would advise writing about anything that reveals more about yourself and your passions- be it physics, theatre, what ever. Consider your essays to be a door, that when opened will give the admissions committee a better idea of “what makes you tick”.
But, there is no major/ minor in theatre available at Chicago. There are some Interdisciplinary programs in the Humanities that include a theatre element.
