You can apply non-binding EA to all schools which offer unrestricted EA. However, if you want to apply EA to a school that has restrictions against applying to some other schools EA, you have to make the tradeoff between applying EA to that school versus EA to the other schools that you would not be able to apply EA to if you apply EA to the restrictive EA school.
If you apply binding ED, you can only do so to one school (and it should be your clear first choice and affordable in its net price calculator). You can still apply EA to other schools, except for restrictive EA schools that do not want you applying ED elsewhere if you apply EA there.
