Your specific experiences cannot be generalized for everyone. Emory and Chicago are both good schools and both tough to get into; I just wanted to caution that what particular schools you did or didn’t get into doesn’t say all that much about which school is generally tougher to get into. I know students accepted at Harvard but not Hopkins and Dartmouth but not Boston College, for example.</p>
