The thing that people tend to forget is that all schools are independent of each other. Therefore, a decision at one school has no bearing on another.</p>
<p>You can’t compare the “toughness” of acceptance from school to school, because they are statistically independent events, and are all different.</p>
<p>And on side note, UChicago is very very hard to get into. The students are self-selecting and so are the admissions people. The process is so subjective that it is really a crapshoot. There are Chicago students, and then there’s everyone else, and the adcoms. base their selection on that.</p>
