<p>Also, UMDCP is also trying to diversify into the national arena, thus, they are taking less from NJ and more from across the country and internationally. This makes NJ much more competitive. 20 yrs ago UMD was the safety school for NJ students, in case they didn’t get into PSU. It is no longer the case.</p>
<p>AS far as Smith, from what I have read with each yr they have been able to increase their stats, thus it is becoming more selective.</p>
<p>I would still say in, not Smith though, nor scholars do to the low gpa and the low CR portion. I say this because UMich AA is more selective than UMDCP, thus, there is something that is probably on your application that is an edge for you.</p>
