Applying for Summer B doesn’t increase your chances over Fall. Here’s the info copied directly from the UF Admissions page:

“Summer B is no different from fall in terms of competition, as all freshman applicants are evaluated as a class. There is no distinction between terms, so there is no admission advantage or disadvantage to choosing summer or fall entry.”

Also, make sure you THOROUGHLY research the Innovation Academy before you apply. They’ll ask you if you want to be considered for it. Some students choose it thinking it gives them a leg up on the competition. It heavily restricts your choice of majors available, and you are permanently restricted from taking classes on campus in Fall for your entire time at UF. If you say yes without realizing the ramifications, you may be stuck going through it, and it’s not a great choice for everyone.
