<p>meaning you want to skip a year or you want to go to sc after you graduate highschool?</p>
<p>i’m guessing you’re applying in your senior year. i’d say do an internship and try to do a summer program at sc. heck, it’d be nice if you could do an internship at sc.</p>
<p>i know a girl who did that for stanford and got in. i’m sure she got in purely for those reasons because her sat scores, gpa, etc. weren’t all that hot. </p>
<p>if you do summer stuff at sc, it shows you really want to go to the school.</p>
<p>ya i took a film and digital cinematography course at the cinema school (got an A) before my senior year and i got a letter of rec from my teacher, and i really hope that helps, i mean it can’t hurt right? it definetely shows you’re interested and willing to pay lol

<p>pretty much any summer activity would be good-- whether it’s taking up a new sport or going to an academic camp. if you were a sophomore, i would’ve suggesting trying to apply for a governor’s honors program/governor’s school…a lot of states have them.</p>
<p>If you are interested teaching, counseling, health services, or working with children I suggest you continue volunteering in the hospital, especially with children. This will give you continuity with your cancer research and hospital volunteerism.</p>
<p>If you are interested in broadcasting or journalism, you look for volunteering or work geared in those fields.</p>
<p>Like everyone says, it depends on your true passion.</p>
<p>if you’re interested in med, apply for an internship with regards to where your interests lie. my friend did cancer research at sc for his internship during the summer of his junior year.</p>

<p>oh by the way, my friend got in with a presidential. hahaha do stuff with sc if you wanna go there. it helps a LOT.</p>
