I would try taking the SAT (in addition to re-taking the ACT as you stated already), if you have not done so yet, to see if you can raise your scores. I do not feel you need to raise them much and you are close to being a match. Try to get all A’s your first semester in the fall. My daughter is about to enter her junior year at BC in CSOM. I think your GPA is okay and your Key Club and FBLA show some nice longevity. My daughter’s uw GPA was about 2 points higher and she was about a point higher on her ACT. She used her SAT scores, however, since they were a little better than her ACT scores. I’m not trying to make you feel bad, on the contrary, because she said that she had better stats than all of her friends. She applied EA but since you should be trying to raise your GPA and test scores (in R and S), I would advise you to apply RD. I don’t think the math score will necessarily give you the boost you are looking for at CSOM since your overall score is what they look for at BC in their emphasis on “educating the whole person”. I hope this extra effort will be rewarded, by getting accepted at BC. Good luck and PM me if you have any other questions about the school, city, etc.
