<p>Taking AP Bio is not bad, it’s on par with the other AP sciences. As a matter of fact, at our HS it’s 3 credits compared to 2 credits for AP Physics and AP Chem. What I was trying to say is that you might be a little weak in the sciences since you will have only taken one AP when 3 are offered.</p>
<p>Not being a native speaker in no way affects your URM status. There are many reasons why you might not speak Spanish at home. I was more concerned that you might be a native speaker that took Spanish as your FL, which really isn’t kosher in my book. You might want to mention why you learned Spanish in school the “additional information” section of your application. </p>

<p>I don’t agree with you here, while SES is not taken into consideration, AOs DO care about whether or not you associate with your Hispanic heritage.</p>
