<p>If you need financial aid, Reed is need-aware for a certain percentage of students. That can make it harder for borderline candidates with high need to get in. If you look through the back issues of the alumni magazine, there’s an article in there that explains Reed’s need aware admissions policy that would be worth reading as well. There’s also an article in another issue that has examples of real essays of admitted students.</p>
