<p>I think you’re a pretty good candidate. I had similar trouble with my ECs; a lot, like my grandparents farm, didn’t really fit in anywhere. So I wrote a short (less than a page, single spaced) essay-ish thing that summarized and explained them, and put it in the additional information section on the common app. Maybe you should do that too?</p>
