yes… admissions. hmmm, trying to prognosticate my decision

LOL wow sempitern555 you’ve been updating this board like crazy. Get some sleep! :P

Anyway, none of you guys will hear from me if i do get rejected Rice, cuz then I’d be too ashamed to show my face here.

I’m out… for now! Come onnnnn BIG FAT ENVELOPE TOMORROW PLEASEEEEE

sleep… bah humbug sleep is for the first year you’re dead

pulls out the mighty manifesto of the International Baccalaureate Program and reads:

“Sleep is for the weak and feeble-minded!”

oh, hello fellow IB-er! :D

Oh my gosh…!!! suddenly feels deep emotional connection to icymoon

:( only ap’s for me, though national scholar

AP = much much better than IB. All that I’d be getting credit-wise at any school I’ve applied to is some credit for my three higher levels, English, History, and Biology…assuming I get a 6 or 7 on the exams…:(

<a href=“Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos”>Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos; <— the state of my life for the past two/four years.

lol, that list is funny espesciall the coffee one because I have resorted to eating coffee to stay awake during ap week

Eating coffee? Does that have any relation to the IV drip format?

I personally haven’t had coffee in at least seven years, probably longer…but I’m hopelessly devoted to my Dr. P. The aspartame is rotting my bones, though…perhaps one day, once I’m done with IB…

Ack, if it weren’t for IB right now, my life would be much better. But noo… haha right now I have to do: three different IAs, TOK paper, TOK presentation…all at the same time! How are you doing in IB, emilia?

what is TOK???

lol, i just realized that we’re posting on multiple treads… why not just make 1 thread ps DAMN THE 60 SECOND RULE

I’m slowly recovering…I was lucky to get four hours of sleep per night when I had HL biology (that was pretty much from Jan. 2004-Jan. 2005, excluding some of the summer). Now my extended essay is turned in, both world lit papers are done and submitted, CAS service hours and sheets are done…

But yeah, definitely not looking forward to the TOK essay or presentation. My first draft of the TOK essay is due, coincidentally, Thurs., Feb. 10th…I’m not even quite sure what title I’m doing, and I’ve written about two sentences total on title #7…

And I’ve decided to force myself to finish my nice little Spanish essay on “El Tiempo de las Mariposas” tonight…it’s also due Thursday…I have about one paragraph written…

curls up into fetal position and begins crying from the stress

Theory of Knowledge.

Heehee. All my IAs are finally done. But I shouldn’t laugh. I understand the suffering. Our teachers do a pretty good job of staggering them so the back-breaking work is only mildly crippling. TOK semesters are split, one spring of junior year for TOK essay and oral, the next fall of senior year for EE. Plus we didn’t really get into EE until the second six weeks, which was totally devoted to HL World Area Studies IA.

Yeah my EE and CAS is done… same with both world lits.

You finished all of your IAs? Right now I’m suffering with Math HL IAs. I don’t get TOK junior year, so it’s all crammed into senior year, which is not that great.

By IAs you mean internal assessments? I’m not totally familiar w/ that terminology…but if so, nope…I’ve got this horrible Math Methods SL “portfolio project” due Monday that I have no idea how to start…and Spanish orals are coming up (English orals done though)…oh, and the historical investigation has been done since last year! yay!

Oh yeah my spanish orals for March are coming up too… ahhhh. My English oral commentaries are done, thank god.

The English commentary wasn’t really that bad for me…I got the worst possible selection - an unknown section of T.S. Eliot’s “The Wasteland,” but I muddled through alright…haha it would have helped if I had read the poem closely initally, instead of obstinately resisting all opportunities to do so, even during class discussions…heh.

IB is easy. TOK is stupid.
