<p>it is a well known fact that bizecon at ucla is just econ + accounting . Most of the bizecon folks minor in accounting because it is just a few extra classes.</p>
<p>You really do not get any business background from anything at UCLA except that accounting minor. </p>
<p>So if you just add the minor you have as much business background as a bizecon student. </p>
<p>You can major in math and land top of the line business related jobs. Same goes for physics and other sciences.</p>
<p>Businesses will teach how to do your job. If anyone thinks you need a business background for entry level you are very wrong. What they want you to learn is how to analyze a problem, no one expects you to actually know how to do most of the things off hand, you get training for everything, but if you have poor analysis skills then training will not help you.</p>
