<p>Yeah, I decided that consequential/utilitarian ethics were really dumb, so I adopted virtue ethics instead. Haven’t looked back.</p>
<p>Anyway, I don’t think it’s at all fair to make a statement about Guevara’s “contempt for human life.” He gave up his own life for others’, after all, when he could very well have lived comfortably as a doctor. By and large, the common people of Latin America were slaving under corrupt, brutal regimes. If Che Guevara was forced to resort to extreme methods to end these regimes, it is a reflection on the environment he was placed in, not on his character.</p>
