Check out pix of the various UC's including UCSD!!!!

I don’t know which dorms you were talking about, but even living in Revelle is fine with me, and I’m relatively high maintainence. The suite style dorms actually make for a MUCH more social atmosphere than traditional hallway styles because it encourages heavy use of the suite common area, and so you generally get to know your suitemates really well. My suite is really social and loud and energetic (but surprisingly pretty clean, too), and our suite interacts with a lot of people from other suites, too. And I don’t know what’s with everyone and triton vision, because I think that’s totally overplayed and stupid. Every campus has a wide variety of people, in different shapes and sizes, and to factor “triton vision” into your decision, to me, is ridiculous. I’m hoping that people go to college for more than hot guys/girls.

2 hours? It takes me 15 minutes to walk from Revelle to Warren, and that’s almost as cross-campus as you can get. It’s definitely a relatively large campus, but you FOR SURE get used to it. This is coming from someone who never walked anywhere or exercised or played sports in high school. Plus, the shuttle is pretty convenient.

Never visited UCI, so I wouldn’t know about how nice it is, although I’ve heard good things. UCLA, in my opinion (which people rarely agree with, in this case) is HIGHLY overrated for the exact reason you just said. It looks kind of like an Ivy League, but only because it’s trying so hard to. All those “ivy league” buildings look WAY too pristine to actually look like they belong in Harvard, and as a result, I just felt like UCLA was an imposter. And if you think UCSD’s size is a problem, you’ll probably feel the same way about how hilly UCLA is - the dorms are on one hill, and classes are on the other. The hills are relatively steep. Use your imagination.
