Just wanted to wish you all the best of luck in the admissions process! Only a few more days, and we’ll all know our fate… (but no big deal, of course.)

Excuse the grammar in that, please.

It’s really great to see all the EA/ED folk at different colleges crossing the forums to support each other.

I agree ! Its good to know that there are other applicants freaking out too! Good luck to you brown ed-er! My senior class is fairly competitive and we have " college apparel Wednesday" where everyone comes to school in shirts sweats and jackets from the school they want to get into. , I come decked out in Chicago apparel it’ll be easy to tell who got in our not based on who continues the tradition after the 15th !

Any other Chicago EA applicants who applied ED elsewhere?

good luck and godspeed haha to all EDers

@srrinath: I think this is not allowed? although UChicago allows you to apply elsewhere, your ED school will never allow you to apply to another school.

Yeah, It’s fun to see that people cross forums to wish others good luck. I’ve seen somebody in Stanford University forum giving others a tip: eat a cake when you read email, so whether it
s good or bad you won’t feel bad. how funny! :):)

Most ED schools allow you to apply to early UNRESTRICTED programs.

@Pbush:why don’t you tell me earlier?
I really want to ED Columbia but I thought that wouldn’t be allowed( my counselor(I don’t know if I should call her counselor or advisor) said I could apply to only one school) now I have only a non-restrictive EA school… I am doomed… I am doomed…

You are definitely allowed to do one ED alongside an EA school, you just aren’t allowed to do 2 ED schools. And some schools will allow you to apply to as many EA’s as you want, but other schools, like Yale, will only allow you to apply to one EA school. I applied EA to uchicago, and ED to Rice.

For some schools, like Georgetown, you may not apply to ED schools if you apply EA to Gtown, but MAY apply to other EA schools. Different schools will have different policies.

Yep, that’s true. I would’ve liked to apply to Georgetown SFS EA but my Columbia ED kept me from doing that.

I applied ED Cornell and EA Chicago. Cornell decisions are released today at 5!!! Good luck to everyone in the coming days!!

^gl!!! =]

best of luck runner43!!!

Applied ED to Swarthmore as well as EA Chicago.

Swat decisions only come by mail and no “exact” date/time has been announced (other than December 15th I believe)

Good luck runner43 and all ED’ers!

A classmate got into Duke ED today. All these acceptances are making me excited.

Secret Asian Man: I’m happy to hear about your classmate’s news!Well, great mentality as you don’t feel too anxious about the waiting for us Chicago ppl=) I’m crossing my fingers for my best friend who wants Wellesley and another for Cornell…:P

Runner43: Thank you!And wish ya the BEST!

I’m still sitting and waiting for my deferral…bleh- -so that when I’m not accepted I won’t be devastated.and if I do get accepted,I have more reason for a celebration.~Cheers!=)

A friend of mine got into William and Mary ED, so I hope it is a foreshadowing of my luck! As the decision gets closer and closer, I get more and more anxious and nervous. I think my passion for the University of Chicago is growing everyday!

I’m dying here…I can’t concentrate on hw or life or dinner or anything, just constantly checking email + crossing fingers and stressing…

good luck everybody! :D

I want a solid date and time so I can count down! We know it’s going to be the 15th or earlier (judging by past years), but what time of day!?! How am I going to get anything done if I’m constantly checking my email for a decision? I’m already addicted to checking this thread for new updates- this is going to be terrible on decision day!

BTW, has anyone seen the note on the admissions site that the office is closing at 3pm on the 15th? you think that they’ll being closing early right before decisions so they’re not flooded with phone calls/"are you sure?"s? That would make the 15th a pretty definite date, then.
