<p>My stupid in-state school (cough UMich) has NO standards and people who have SIGNIFICANT cheating records got in because they lied about it on their app. And the kid who did get into UPenn was the biggest a-hole ever… </p>

<p>I just screwed up 2 days worth of lab work because I’m freaking out over finals + EA decisions… Dear admissions office, just tell us already!</p>

<p>Not necessarily that Dawn. It’s a flawed philosophy that I haven’t developed, I’m aware of that, but my basic belief is this: YOU shape your life, but in the end, that is how it was meant to be. You create your own fate, but at the same time, the decisions you make in life and anything that comes your way should be accepted and not fought. Instead of mourning the rejection from UChicago (Which is a normal response that I’m going to go through aswell) we’ll eventually turn our attention to other schools and once there, we’ll forget all about Chicago, less preoccupied with what could have been and more concerned with the here and now. </p>

<p>Well Zakuro…I’m sorry you feel that way and trust me I do too…in fact my first post here on the Chicago board was fairly bitter and negative about how people who don’t deserve certain things are usually the ones who end up receiving them…but that’s life and all you can do is just keep swimming.</p>

<p>Dang it. I went onto last year’s EA thread and they started posting their decisions/stats at like 4:02 PM (I’m assuming eastern time??) so maybe it isn’t today? But motion kept saying that it was between 4 and 5. I’m going to look at the RD thread from last year.</p>
