hey, what’s up? I am from south korea. (I am actually studying in iowa though)

The girls here are not very pretty
yea, I suppose that they are not as pretty as girls in maybe stanford or UC

Boyfriend/girlfriend relationships are not prevalent
remember, uchicago is not a very big party school. but that doesn’t mean boyfriend/girlfriend relationships are not prevalent. They do happen; and they tend to be more serious…what I mean by that is a lot less one night hook-ups like in other schools.

Nearly pure academics
yup yup. that’s what uchicago is known for.

No school spirit (it says that the students “dis” the school a lot but inside, they love the school to death)
yep…no school spirit…but I still love u chicago.

Not very well known but well known to business majors, economic majors, etc…
the name of the school, u chicago is not gonna impress people as much as schools like harvard, stanford, yale, princton…but it won’t matter. cuz you, the chicago people, will impress them with the skills you learned from uchicago.

A place where you can be proud to be a nerd
yup, I totally agree. being a nerd is not necessarilly a bad thing…be proud!

One book mentions that a group of students made a nuclear reactor; one of the students said something along the lines of “I am no afraid of how many nuclear reactors there are, but of how many students can make them.”
yea, I read that too. It’s…a little scary, but funny; and makes me like u chicago more and more. lolz

I hope to see you guys in the fall
