<p>Hey thanks, this post was great! I’m one of those people who goes into a video store and wanders around, never remembering which movie I promised myself I’d remember to rent next time! I’m also embarrased to say I have rented the same one more than once (my record is 3 times- and did THAT more than once!), because I can’t remember that we’d seen it already (often because I fall asleep halfway through…geez I sound like a ball of fire!)</p>
<p>So I’ll write all of these titles down for the next trip to Blockbusters.
BTW, my dd loves anything Alfred Hitchcock (favorite is The Birds),
and my son loves anything Adam Sandler- think he can get an essay for Harvard out of that for admission to the class of 2013?</p>
<p>Yes, you just mentioned 2001, A Space Odyssey. I would also add Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Kids need to see these orginials, like Planet of fhe Apes too, so they know and understand where so many references come from in movies, etc. today.</p>
