You know, I vividly remember when I even DARED to question choices about schools a couple of years ago during Revisit week. It’s a tough decision. There were a couple of very rude and very snarky moms - some still on here - who were not supportive. Actually the rudeness of the moms on CC a couple of years ago from one particular school helped my kiddo make up her mind - thank you!
Sending bumps to the mean mom who wrote on the thread to “go find a smaller pond within which to be a bigger fish”. Wish I could find her full post and maybe you can help me share what a really rude and biased answer looks like. She should have been sanctioned, but wasn’t. Someone questioned “mean girls”. Well, there was a clique of “mean moms” on here. The best way to deal with a bully on here - or someone disrespecting a school or hurling insults based on heresy - is to ignore them.
One of the things that might be helpful is to read through old threads about Revisit. Yes - before you say it’s not relevant - there are some good posts about things to consider and questions to ask. FWIW, I have always tried to be nice, supportive and honest - without judging. There are some posters who confuse being nice with being stupid. Don’t “be that guy”.
Finally, thank you to all the supportive and NICE parents (you know who you are) on here who did help us make that decision. You also helped us through drop off and through the first couple of years. We believe we made the right one.
Remember: You are sending your child to people, not just a school.
