Christianity In Berkeley among Asians

<p>Agree with 08Holla about apathy.</p>

<p>Personally, I believe <puts up=“” the=“” flame=“” retardant=“”> people of various religions, in some cases, can be quite fanatical about them because it has been conditioned into them. Religion can offer explanations about the unknown, and can offer comfort to those afraid of various ideas, such as what happens after death. To take one’s religion away is to take away one of the main support pillars of everything they have believed in their entire life, and thus people will fight and cling to what they know. </puts></p>

<p>What i tell recruiters:
I personally withhold judgment on the whole god idea, as a person heavily schooled in scientific thought, I try not to establish conclusions without overwhelming supporting evidence first. And as of now, I have not seen conclusive evidence either proving the existence of a higher power or powers, or the lack of. Until that proof is offered (no, saying “But who else could have created the world?” or “You exist, don’t you?” is not enough), and (if he/she/it exists), this higher power is concretely defined (no, saying “God is God and he loves you” is not enough), I will not subscribe to any religion or religious groups (and scientific thought is not a belief system, it is a method of formulating judgments about the world).</p>
