Christianity In Berkeley among Asians

I love to learn about religion - I’ve been to Christian retreats, fellowships. In a few weeks, I’m going with my Muslim friend to his mosque to see what it is like. It isn’t in my nature to either accept religion or attack it - if that scientific doubt that some people use as their reason against religion is what it is, then the lack of a god should also be doubted (this wasn’t directed toward anyone; it’s just my belief.)

However, I cannot defend those who aggressively go out and try to convert people. Most of what religions dictate are personal tenets - things that do not need to be spread to others. I believe that people should be left to discover how they truly feel about subjects on their own, and based on their life experiences, instead off of what other people tell them. If you want other people to follow your example - if you believe that what those principles that your religion teaches you to be what other people should follow - then set an example by doing something. If insert religion teaches you to love, then love other people. If religion teaches you to give to charity, then give to charity. That’s all you need to do.
