Christmas tree advice

We tried this with beer, but we couldn’t get the tree to stand up straight.

I’m here all week. Try the fish.

Thanks for all the advice and laughter with some. I think it will hang in there, I buy fraser or other hearty trees, but have to watch the heavier ornaments…they seem fine and then they start to droop a bit. Now I feel like a have a toddler with my puppy he’s 2 but I put the non-breakables on the bottom half to help with the treacherous labrador tail. : )

Hunt, you’re earning those green squares so well :D

Debruns, we had to do the same thing with our pitbull. She loves to run but has a really hard time stopping. Once, it almost cost us all of our Christmas tree ornaments as she crashed in to the tree. Luckily, we had someone grab it in time only sacrificing a few. Now, she’s not allowed to run in that room while the tree is up and we try to put the nicer ones above the reach of that tail that wags at a million miles per hour.

And since she has such a hard head, headbutting the trunk at a full run barely caused her to notice the fact that she was toppling over the tree. The noise and commotion scared the daylights out of her though!

I have gone from getting local trees from various farms nearby to getting pre-cut balsam ( my favorite )
This year I got either a Douglas or Frasier fir…can’t remember which one. I got a smaller one than normal because I got some new furniture this year and lost my former tree spot. I’m kind of liking it though ! And when it is time to drag the beast outside, I can do it on my own without breaking my back. I have a very high ceiling and originally when we bought the house thought how great it would be to have a huge tree…until I had to have a helper to bring it in and out…and YES it has been drinking a lot for the first 3 days and now has leveled off

When you put lights on your tree, wrap it inside not outside on the branch, hang ornaments outside. This way your tree will sparkle from inside out. H was a manager trainee for Macy’s trim a tree department many years ago. We always have beautiful xmas tree.

Bet you got a lot of good tips there. I can see how that would make a different look.
