<p>torihome, It’s great that you are planning to apply! In my app I wrote about my interest in political science and international relations. I also spoke about my interest in Korean arts (dance, theatre etc.) and why that made me want to visit. I had VERY little exposure to Korean culture beforehand so I tried to convey that I would be curious, adventurous and respectful if chosen for the opportunity. No matter what you choose to write about I think it is key that you convey that in some way. Feel free to PM me if you have more specific questions!</p>
<p>yhbultimate11, yes you do need a teacher rec. It is very short. About a page and handwritten. I actually read mine and scanned it in along with my application.</p>
