yes it says Congratulations on your admission to Claremont McKenna College! but I think it’s a general one under her profile which everyone can access.
Yup I guess so too.
we need another person to check it out!
I can see it and I’m not even logged in.
I googled my AO and the first return was her linkedin page. I can’t believe I am so sucked into this that I did that. LOL.
Especially since I know my kiddo is not getting accepted as they never reviewed his FinAid docs.
I need to find something to do for the next three hours. Other than this.
Good luck to everyone!
How does one know that finaid documents weren’t viewed?
For this school there is big red ‘not reviewed’ next to the NCP waiver. A lot of schools have dates next to the documents. If that date changes to a March date I figure the odds are in our favor as it means a human looked at them recently.
rejected here but got into colby and their french exchange program this admissions season makes no sense
Waitlisted
My daughter was waitlisted (she didn’t do the interview), but she was accepted at Pomona and Pitzer.
0/3 at 5c lol
Interesting. My D was accepted at CMC but WL at Pomona, her top choice.
DD is in. I am very excited for her.
this admissions season makes no sense
I think every admissions season makes sense. It’s important to realize that colleges, especially LACs, are institutions with a sense of personality themselves that seek a certain kind of student, not machines where you put in X amounts of achievements and receive Y amounts of acceptance and scholarship money.
For everyone accepted, feel free to send me a message! Would love to get to know folks and add them to the some of the admitted students things from the early round.
No, I’m sure there’s rhyme and reason to what each college wants, but it’s extremely frustrating sometimes and seriously does not appear that way. More and more institutions have moved towards holistic admissions processes, so I’m guessing that’s part of it
Absolutely. People are more than statistics, and they look for certain personalities. GPA, test scores, etc. tend to function more like minimum requirements, but the real test of admissions is everything that makes you, well, you, once you has passed that bar.
I have certainly been frustrated at times, but one ought to remember to look at things from their perspective rather than solely one’s own.
Dmed you!
Anyone on the waitlist here any news about movement?
When should I expect to know waitlist results?
