lol i love the race for the most AP’s. Its actually quite sad if you think about it.

AP English Language
AP US History
AP Art History
AP Calculus BC
AP Latin Literature – may transfer back to honors; I don’t want to die.
Newspaper
Religion classes

Colleges: Columbia, Brown, Reed, Carleton, Haverford

AP Cal AB
AP Physics
AP US History
and all the required courses…

Hon Math
Hon Eng
Reg Physics
Reg U.S. Hist
College Russian
Spanish 5/6

Didn’t get into APUS with a 94 in history.
So no APs for me ![]()
But I go to a [very] prestigious high school so hopefully that will count in my favor.

worth2try- how long have you been taking russian? and how did you get started? I’m really interested in studying that language, but I don’t know where to begin since there aren’t classes at my school/the community college near me.

My school offers it and I started this year from level 6 since I am a native speaker. I went to school in Russia and took the course just for fun. Not sure how you would learn it if it is not offered anywhere near you, but you can try self-study or a tutor if you can afford one. I don’t think it is an easy language to learn from scratch, but if you have a background in Latin/French/Spanish it would help.

Hmm, I’m so mad that my school isn’t offering IB courses, I would sooo want to take them. Anyway, here’s my schedule:

AP English Language
AP Chenmistry
APUSH
AP Computer Science
Pre-Calculus Honors
French III
Wind Ensemble
Marching Band (1st semester only)

This is the most rigorous schedule you can take as a junior at my school. Should I be confident in my number of AP’s? I would think it is enough but seeing everyone else’s schedule makes me unsure.

Colleges: GTown, UChicago, MIT, Yale, Columbia, USC, UCSD
-it seems like a lot of them are streches, but oddly enough I think of USC as a sure admission due to family ties and closeness to a professor in the department I’m interested in.

Kim, you’re taking four APs.

I’m taking two - USH & Chemistry - along with two college classes - Calculus II / III and Physics I / II.

AP US History
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics C
AP Biology
Independent Study: AP Comp Gov (but at a somewhat higher level than the AP)
Spanish 11 Honors
American Literature II and Writing / Communications
Speech Communication
Geography of Nationalism (a political geography course that’s like an honors social studies course)
US Foreign Policy

I’m also considering doing an independent study of AP human geography and/or AP world history. However, neither course gives college credit, and I don’t think they’re looked on as favorably upon as other, harder APs. In any case, their focus is more on social and cultural history (the current fad), which in my opinion is rather boring; human geography had the potential to be great, but was too far detached from political geography to be relevant.

Unfortunately, my school restricts AP English to seniors, otherwise I would definitely take that. They also restrict the number of AP sciences to two per year, or else I’d tack on AP Psychology (since it’s so easy).

lol fabrizio. It is rather daunting though looking at all those people who have all AP/IB classes.

Jr. year schedule at [very] prestigious private college prep high school:

AP Computer Science AB

I’m considering dropping comp sci ab (took A this year) but I’m trying to get into UC Berkeley so still nto sure… do you guys think i should drop it if I have a 3.73uw / 3.9w? I’m guessing i would get around 2 B’s next year each semester in English and maybe physics…

AP US History
Immunology (2 semesters)
Chemistry
Algebra II H
Spanish II
Old Testament(2 semesters)
New Testament(2 semesters )

Aw, we need more IB people! I’ve changed my schedule.

IB Spanish HL/SL
IB MATH STUDIES (easy as crack, thank god!)
IB Computer Science HL/SL
IB History of the Americas HL
IB Physics SL
Band
ACADEMIC DECATHLON
Track or Soccer

What is this “IB History of the Americas” versus (I presume) “IB European History”? We have IB History, period…

You know…it’s one thing to take all those AP’s, but how many of you can get A’s in them?

History of Americas is supposed to equate to US History according to my school. They said that we will be prepared to take the IB test and the AP test, so its good.

And I assume European History won’t be talking about the Mayflower Compact and whatever else you learn in US history.

sup, I know a girl who gets straight As in IB. If you can do that, you can get As in AP and thi sis CC forum… so I would never put it past these kids… friggin’ super teen heros or something, they are!
