<p>The last list is full of reaches, but as I already have my safeties in the first list, it wouldn’t hurt any. Besides, my parents won’t let me go to a school out-of-state unless I get really good financial aids, which, considering my family income, I will more likely to get from selective private universities than public ones.</p>
<p>Can’t you not apply EA anywhere if you’re applying ED somewhere?</p>
<p>Also, why does everyone seem to be applying to Yale SCEA, just like me! I’ll never make it! Thankfully, I love my safeties.</p>

<p>bluetissues, I’m not sure what your question meant, but generally, you can apply EA (not SCEA) to other schools even if you’re applying ED. However, “generally” because some schools prohibit that, such as Princeton (I believe). Rice doesn’t, so I suppose it’s all right for me to apply EA to another school or two as well. It’s mostly to assuage the pain in the likely case of a rejection from Rice. ;)</p>

<p>the only reason i thought of applying to princeton is because the stats for Early decision in my school was ridiculously high. 92 averages and up got in… very few ppl got rejected for the year of 2005, and supposedly, good years alternate with bad years for admissions to certain schools…
for example, harvard usually likes us, but there was one year that was terrible. huge amounts of rejections…yale never liked us so nothing to compare to… princeton like us too, and they have a great financial plan…if u couldn’t tell from what was stated above, i wanna get into a pre-med program, but i seem to be lacking safety / match schools… the Cuny’s that i wrote (typed) above are actually very difficult to get into even though they don’t ask for much…also, it’s ridiculously competitive at my school… so competitive that we don’t even have a ranking, cuz people would shoot each other to make top X percent…</p>
