kraor–could you post a link to your updated countdown? thanks. i need it for my mental health
I’m really happy because all of my apps are completely done and I basically just have to press “send” when I get my rejection letter from Princeton!

Wow, 5 down already?

I am also applying to stanford… trying to work on the essays right now, but obviously cc is kind of distracting me :D

Yep! Btw, to all of you applying to Stanford, the deadline IS the 15th. =) I was shocked to find this out about three weeks ago; I thought they were normal (Dec.31/Jan1). But nooo…

btlesgirl-that’s really smart; saving all that $ on apps. The weird thing is, I’ve been trying to convince my parents to do the same, but they are all about sending stuff in a month before the deadline, though we don’t have that much $ to spare.

yeah 5 down is quite impressive. and i was actually considering blocking myself from CC so i could be more productive… but i couldn’t bring myself to do it! and i am sure that i never will!

btlesgirl here is my countdown: http://makecountdowns.com/show.php?id=39862
i hope it counts down to the right time for you, because i had to set it to a weird hour to make it work correctly… i don’t know if it was a problem my computer has or not. but i tried to set it for dec 18 at 5pm. hopefully that is the latest it would come!

oh and i am trying to do the same thing- fill out all the apps except pressing submit. stanford was the only one i had to submit earlier, especially because now we are expecting the decision to come later than the 15th.

yup, looks good, kraor! thanks!

sry for the double posting, but wanted to share some good news that I’m scarily happy about…
I just found out that I won 2 senior superlatives, “Most Likely to Succeed” and “Most Likely to Win a Novel Prize.” I know it’s not a big deal, but for some reason it made me really happy. Or maybe I’m just looking for excuses to be happy in this stressful time. So for all of you who are feeling less than cheerful right now, here’s some happy dust from me. sprinklesprinkle
9ish days and counting! We made it this far, so we’ll definitely make it all the way!

Congratulations btlesgirl!
I’m happy for you! =)

yayy that is awesome, btlesgirl. definitely something to be excited about. thanks for the happy dust!!! you should inform princeton of those awards. they will want to have a future nobel prize winner !!
:D

yeah- when i get upset about the 9 days i remember that it used to be ~45 days!!

lol kraor…and the funniest part was I was actually considering adding them to my resume!! but I decided against it. To be fair, I was considering this when I was about 3/4 asleep.
omz & kraor–thanks for the congratulations! i’ve been noticing lately how happy little things make me. it’s really nice!
