Class of 2011 ED Roster/Thread

mperezrosas, i hadn’t freaked out at all – until tonight. trust me, some sort of panic attack will hit you, and it won’t be pleasant.

for me, it’s just driving me crazy that NOWHERE on the NU site does it specify the details abt when we find out. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?

I sympathize completely! Then we have to rely on sketchy CC info…

…which seems to change on a daily basis.

Exactly. I’m tired of checking compulsively because they don’t put any info on the website.

Omg I can’t wait!

one day. . dun dun dun

less than 24 hours you guys. tomorrow is going to be rough…

From the Daily

Now I’m even MORE nervous!!! Good luck, everybody!

Good luck everyone!!! I am freaking out!!!

50 minutes…

LOL! I’m definitely counting down, too.

Good luck from the Vanderbilt board!

I AM GOING TO NORTHWESTERN NEXT YEAR!!!
Who else got in???

Wow just when we needed CC it was down. My D was rejected from NU. I am shocked. The worst is now she has all those other apps to do, and a bunch of auditions for musical theater programs. And she insists on being in a production. And now must really keep grades up. Her SATs are great, 770M, 710W, 710R SAT2, 740M2, 700 Lit. and over 3.9 GPA. But for some reason its not the right school for her. Congrats to those who got in!

i dont understand

my bro’s friend

unweighted 92 GPA honors/aps competitive high school, 1400 SAT, accepted

accept–the music school is always the hardest, no matter where your D goes.
good luck

It’s not just about SAT/ACT scores, GPA, strength of schedule. Admissions officers look at the total picture and are looking for the same “fit” that students seek.

You may well have a student rejected with 2400 SAT and several AP scores of 5, but perhaps the essays were not compelling or maybe the list of extra curriculars was “off” somehow.

A school can be looking for a tuba player and a tuba player applies with a 3.5 gpa and a 1250 SAT and s/he may take precedence over the person with the highest scores, class rank and so forth.

It’s a jungle out there, that’s for sure.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted ED. Best of luck to those who did not.

Annoying that College Confidential crashed at the moment the decisions were released. Sheesh.
