<p>Admissions did all they could to make sure that this year’s numbers would be smaller than last year’s. So far they have 1727, and the target is 1670. When the waitlists of HYP start moving, Stanford will undoubtedly lose some admits, maybe even all the way down to the target. Last year’s class had 1745 for the final total. Stanford has 100 on their waitlist, and may not need to use it at all.</p>
