Sorry, just went back and double checked my source. Just a slight typo, but not that significant.

Here is what the breakdown was for last year. This came directly from the staff at NAPS.

Beginning numbers were
TOTAL: 271
USNA 261
USCGA 10
Priors 51 (USN 35, USMC 16)
Females 55

Total graduates: 200
USNA appointments: 214
USCGA appointments: 7

Prior graduates: 42 (USN 30, USMC 12)
Female graduates: 45

Just for the record, these are the official numbers for the Class of 2009 at NAPS right now.
TOTAL: 284
Males: 233
Females: 51

Priors: 28
Navy: 21
Marines: 7

We have to remember that the inner workings of the admission process is somewhat of a mystery as to who is and is not given the official appointments. We question why one that is 3Q’d does not get in and then another that was never officially declared as 3Q’d does. I was told a while ago that when appointments are given it is generally because there is something in that particular packet that the admission office sees that we on the outside do not.
