Thank you for sharing your journey. I teach at a community college and your example is one of the things that brings me the most joy in my work. My university transfer students routinely go on to good colleges and report back to me with great success.
St Olaf is probably getting a winner with you. Community college transfer students typically go on to have higher GPA’s (I will look up the articles on this and try to find links) than the students that started at the 4 year schools (perhaps because they are older and don’t have the freshman year dip that many kids go through as they adjust to college when they are straight out of college).
