Commended (national cutoff) = 201

@lotusg @fletchertiger @thetrill1‌ and everyone else

Please post the source of your information.

Does anyone have any news about Michigan cutoff? Getting scared with a 213

@Illinoisian - Congrats to your DC on a PHENOMENAL SAT score on first go around. If DC has impressive stats in relation to grades, ECs, etc I echo @Grammargal’s comments. NMSF is an honor and I would have loved to see my D get it but it was not to be. I have been obsessing and anxiously awaiting results and when I told her the cutoff and we knew she did not make it, she merely texted me back and said “I have everything else (going for me)”. And she is right. I know many who have gone on to get full ride merit awards and scholarships from a whole host of schools. Yours will too. Best of luck!

@fletchertiger, Is this your personal score? If so, how were you notified? Hoping in FL…

My son got in. 223 in CA.

TN cutoff anyone?

Drawinrain, how were you told and do you know of anyone who got in with a 222?

@drawinrain‌ Seriously?! I have 223 in CA too, no word back yet though from the high school!!! Excuse the excess of exclamation points but I have been thinking about NMSF almost constantly these last few days :)

@STEMFamily‌ I was informed by my counselor that my 218 got in

@thetrill More details please? Which side of Mason-Dixon Line?

@Mich1597‌ You think you’re scared? I’m sitting here with a 211 in Michigan and a school who won’t tell us until the the public release data. :P

@redraiders…@thetrill posted previously they were in MN. @STEMFamily was looking for the source of their notification.

@wolverine86, my daughter is sitting on a 215 in Michigan and are school will not tell us until September 10th.

@wolverine89, my oldest daughter was a National merit finalist in from Michigan in 2004 and her PSAT score was 211. Wish you luck and hope you make it.

My son’s teacher sent him a notice. So far I don’t know if 222 get in. Good luck!

@STEMFamily‌ Confirmed with the Principal.

@UTBGSUMOM…I know from previous (and present) experience how frustrating it can be waiting for some kind of official notification…especially when the delay is usually based on their misunderstanding of the info in the principal’s letter.

FWIW (and I’m sure you’re aware), MI has never had a state cutoff that high and there’s already an unofficial data point for MI with a 214 being named a SF. I’m positive you’ll get good news…it just stinks that you won’t get anything “official” for another week. ~X(

@moretolife4‌ 212 is my personal score in florida. My counselor gave me the letter

I’m a homeschooling parent in Missouri, and I was notified my Senior is a semifinalist with NMSC. Someone asked me to post her score to help determine state cutoffs. Her score was 220.
