<p>I got rejected. GATech was supposed to be a safety, so that’s a bit disheartening, but oh well. Good luck and congrats to everyone else!</p>
<p>Here are my stats if anyone’s interested:
-US Citizen attending an international school
-2130 SATI
-800s in SATII Math, Physics and Chinese
-Top 10th percentile of class
-IB Diploma with HL Physics, Computer Science and English and SL Math, Psychology and Chinese
-Took three AP tests for practice: Psychology(5), Chinese(5), Computer Science(4)
- Took two 4 unit college courses at Berkeley for the summer
-ECs: Team captain of Shanghai’s junior air pistol and rapid fire team for two years (on the team for 6 years), MUN, Debate
-Volunteer/Charity Work: Did a fundraiser where we sold sunglasses to raise money to fund surgeries for senior citizens within Shanghai (managed to raise enought money to fund 100 surgeries)
-Work experience: Worked at a local child care place for a summer</p>
<p>I think the reason why I didn’t get in was because I thought I was a domestic applicant due to my nationality and realized very close to the deadline that I had to submit my application according to the international deadline. Thus, my essays were terrible as I basically smushed a bunch of draft essays together, which was a bad idea.</p>
