Also, I just wanted to say I’m sorry to the people that have been rejected. There’s a place for you and maybe it’s not NYU. But remember, you can always transfer and there’s still graduate school. If you are meant to go to NYU, you will. It may not be freshman year. But you’ll go.

Waitlisted with no FA change and no housing change in case anyone wanted to know 
It looks like the Housing change may be an indicator of acceptance after all.
@ohmloo sorry to hear, I’m sure you’ll get in somewhere great. Was your wait list email sent in the early morning, or was it just sent out now?

@nickb14 not true. there have been people above who had housing changes and got rejected. all bets are off.

@pianogeek yes, they’ve been sending rejections since 1 AM this morning. There may be another wave of rejections but it looks like then there will be a break and acceptances will be sent around 3 EST
Now that I’ve emptied out all my tears, well, here I go. After being rejected, the only thing that cured me from my sorrow was sleep. But while I was sleeping, I dreamed about my future, and NYU was not even a part of it. So yes, I would have LOVED to go to NYU. Am I upset? Yes. Do I wish I had studied harder for the ACT, taken a couple more AP’s, cure cancer? Yes. But, with that said, I am still happy with everything that I have accomplished, and I don’t need NYU to validate that for me. If NYU isn’t smart enough to see they are losing thousands of students who have the potential to change the world for better, then what good are they anyways? What I am getting at is to those accepted congrats! Enjoy your time there and have lots of fun for those of us not fortunate enough to attend such a great school. But for those of us not accepted, move on. Cliche, I know. I know everyone has other schools to go to and I know they will just as a good a time, if not better, there. And if you truly belonged to NYU, transfer or apply for grad school. Even though I’ll never meet you guys, you guys are like my family. Ily. <3
